Vannes, the third university centre in Brittany

In 1986, Vannes possessed 1,500 students. In 2000, they were more than 5,200.

Numerous BTS and preparatory classes are offered in the grammar schools of Vannes.

The recent South Brittany University was set up both in Vannes and in Lorient and dispenses numerous degrees, bachelor’s degrees and master’s degrees.

Four departments in the IUT and one in the IUP also complete that range of trainings.
