The urban community

The urban community of Vannes was created on 31 December 2000. Since 01 January 2003 it has grouped 24 cities:

  * Tréffléan
  * Vannes
  * Trédion
  * L'Ile aux Moines

The community council contains 86 elected representatives who are in charge of different commissions:

• * Economic and tourist affairs,
  * urban development and planning,
  * environment,
  * finances,
  * training,
  * transport,
  * musical school,
  * a “fire service” working party,
  * a local accommodations follow-up program commission,
  * an intercities accommodations conference,
  * a waste control office.
