Vannes, a green treasure on the Atlantic shore

Vannes, the beautiful medieval city, "a town of art and history", mingles the charm of its timber framing, its ramparts and its stone buildings with the charm of the spray coming from the sea.

A harbour opened onto the Gulf of Morbihan, Vannes is also a “green city” whose dazzling, modern, original and extremely varied gardens have been awarded by a National Flower Competition. The city also possesses the Four Flowers label which is the highest award as regards the creation and maintenance of green spaces.

The seaside town has also been rewarded for many years by the European blue flag for the quality of its bathing waters and the importance given to its environment.
