The Esti’Vannes

Each summer, the streets of Vannes dress themselves up with the colours of a strongly animated season. The Fêtes Historiques begin a historical moment. The Jazz festival takes place in the open air in the Limur garden. The musical nights of the Gulf delight the music lovers.

The Fêtes d’Arvor honour the Breton culture thanks to the bagads (Breton music bands), the fest-noz (traditional Breton fetes) and the water tournaments rocked by the sailors' songs. The crowing moment of the summer is the firework display that covers the city with its lights.

All through the year, the culture expresses itself in the Palais des Arts et des Congrès, the Parc des Expositions Chorus, the Musée de la Cohue, the Ecole Nationale de Musique as well as in the city’s artistic expression clubs.
